Welcome ACS Spouses... This website is meant to provide spouses with information about events on base, in the squadron and throughout the community as well as to help newcomers get to know everyone faster. There should be something for everybody. If you have been at Tyndall for a while, the newsletter is intended to help you remember dates. If you are a student’s spouse, then you will not only want to know what is going on in the squadron, but you will want to learn about Tinker and Robins AFB to help you plan for the future. If you are the lucky ones that just found out that you are coming to Tyndall, then this website will help ease your transition here and hopefully inspire and excite you about the possibilities available at the 325th ACS. See you at the next spouses meeting! Angie |
| About the 325th Air Control Squadron...
The 325th ACS, also known as “Screamin’ Eagles,” was activated in 1947 making it the oldest surviving squadron at Tyndall. For over 54 years the squadron has taught radar operations and maintenance to military personnel of all ranks. Officers assigned to the 325th ACS attend a 9-month Air Battle Manager course learning doctrine, radar theory, surveillance operations, basic fighter control using simulated aircraft, contract-flown MU-2 aircraft and 325th FW F-15s, as well as wartime E-3 operations and joint tactical operations. Upon completing the course, graduates go on to fly in the E-3 AWACS, at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma or the E-8 JSTARS, at Robins Air Force Base Georgia.
